This week's "Belli Challenge" on www.chrissyd723.blogspot.com is scraps - what do you do with all of your left overs? I learned this technique on the Stampin' Up cruise that I just got back from and this gave me a good excuse to try it. First you lay all of your little scraps of card-stock on the sticky side of sticker paper the you can just get at a office supply store. Then you sprinkle embossing powder over the top and shake off the excess. The embossing powder will stick to the sticky part of the sticker paper. I found that the metallic embossing powder worked a lot better than the non-metallic. Then you heat it with your embossing tool. I used Not Quite Navy Card-stock and Ink, Blue Bayou Card-stock, Soft Sky Card-stock, Silver Embossing Powder and Brads, Phrases for a Fried Stamp Set (From the Occasions Mini Catalog) and White Taffeta Ribbon. Since I had scraps from doing my Dahlia Fold Bag, I used the extra to make this card. I used the 1-3/8 circle punch, Tempting Turquoise Ink, Card-stock & Grosgrain Ribbon, It's Beautiful jumbo Wheel, White Grosgrain Ribbon, Bali Breeze Designer Paper, Whisper White Card-stock, River rock Card-stock, and Ice Rhinestone Brads. Dahlia Fold Bag
This gift bag is made using the Dahlia Fold Technique. I wanted to try making it and decided for my first try to use larger circles to fold. It was really easy to do. Accents and Elements Mini Photo Album - outside
This is the Accents and Elements tin that comes full of self-adhesive die cut flowers. We made this tin to hold cards at the last convention. I decided to make it into an accordion album instead. I used the Accents & Elements, Build-a-brad, Chocolate Chip Card-stock, Blue Bayou Designer Paper, Wid Wasabi Card-stock, Wild Wasabi Ink, Ticker Tape Alphabet, and Monogram Alphabet Lower.
